Young Oak on Quarry Edge

watercolour
Lea & Paget's Wood, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust

One of the rare times when an outdoor sketch comes together to capture an idea. A damp February afternoon perched with my paints at the edge of an old quarry, mist rising from the valley below and the brilliant greens of wet moss gleamed on this precarious young oak.
